K1 RaceGear has designed an industry first breathable suit. The Victory SFI 3.2a/1 Single Layer suit is constructed of Proban fire retardant cotton material with Hydro Oleo treatment to repel fluids. This unique material has been designed to allow air to pass through to keep cool, yet maintain full fire protection for the driver. This suit includes full 360 degree arm gussets to provide optimal mobility and the Crotch Stretch Panel allows the driver to easy slip in and out of the vehicle without the worry of pulled seams. The addition of anatomically placed Back Stretch Panel provides comfort to the driver while in a sitting position. The Victory suit gives you all these additional features including a custom look while maintaining the stock suit price.

Proban Cotton – What Is It?


We are proud to use Proban fabric for our SFI 3.2A/1 racing suit. But what is it, exactly?Proban (PROBAN®), first developed in the 1950s, is a fire-retardant chemical that can be applied to cotton and other cellulosic fabrics. The chemical in no way affects the physical properties of the fabric that it is applied to as there is no chemical reaction between the two elements.


 Proban fabrics enjoy widespread use in industrial, military, civilian and racing applications, and have developed a proven reputation as a tough, reliable fire-retardant material. In the event of fire, Proban cotton decomposes and burns into a localized charred section that serves to act as a barrier. The fabric has no afterglow, does not smolder, and flame does not spread outside of the immediately affected area, which means only fabric that is directly exposed to flame will burn.
